Dr. Hamilton is the Music Director at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lanesville.  She also teaches organ at IU Southeast in New Albany.  Dr. Hamilton earned a Music Education degree from Indiana State University, and both Masters and Doctoral degrees in Organ Performance from Indiana University.  Her teachers include Lidetta Matthen, Oswald Ragatz, and Marilyn Keiser.  Janet is one of the founding members of the Southern Indiana chapter of the American Guild of Organists, instituted in 1990.  She has performed recitals at IU Southeast, the Louisville area, Indiana, Chicago and New York.  In 2001 she recorded a CD of the organ works of New Albany native, Joseph Clokey.  Dr. Hamilton enjoys playing the organ and violin with her daughters, Michelle Warren (flute) and Angela Thomas (string bass).   She and her husband Bob live in Borden, Indiana.
